  2. In 2000 My 18 yr old son and two of his friends were arrested for a murder they did not commit. My son and one of the other boys were coerced into false confessions. They spent 178 days in Macomb County Jail. Before being released after We there mothers went down south and got the evidence The Mi authorities refused. Two other young men from our down committed a 37 State Crime Spree of mayhem and murder, including the murder here. Our son's were released 'Without Prejudice'..There was never any admition of wrong doing by the authorities here. The other two men, the true murders, were brought here in 2006, plead "No Contest" and sentenced to life.

    Cheri, that is an awful story and Im sorry you had to experience that. I have a son. I cannot imagine. I am glad things turned out ok though and thanks for sharing!

    I'm sorry Cheri, that is terrible. Wrongful incarceration is a serious problem that people don't realize occurs so often.
